Update number 1- peter
After a few great days i munich, david and i have covered a lot
of ground. Our first 3 days were dammed with freezing rain and
snow as we crossed the alps, but now we are enjoying springtime
in northern italy. Temperatures are beautiful and we will be at the
coast tommorow. My body is holding up great...but it is definitly a
challenge trying to keep up with "tree legs" david. I try to act like
its no big deal but it is still tough...i always feel like i have something
to prove. We have been killing our expected average and we are
stoked. Currently we have 417 miles. Miss and love all my family
and friends... Wish u could b here. Un besos

Viva USA - David
Ok we just finished the 6th day with our hardest climb yet. After 90miles we went uphill for another 7, it was great and pedro once again proved his status as natures freak. We have had some great times from the freezing dolomites to the summer heat of la Italia. We have only camped once and i had the weirdest dream of my life!!!. Yesterday we saw the US game in a bar in Invuerno (ita) and the owners of the bar were stoked with PeacePassers and RealDeal to the point they were chearing for le Uniti Stati and buying us rounds. Tomorrow we make it to the mediterranean sea and follow the coast to Malaga. My aquiles tendom and my knee on the right side are the weakest links, but i know they will hold another 20 days. We bypassed Milano because we werent able to reach our friends...I am having a really good time and look forward to enjoy the miles ahead. Now we are in ahostal in the middle of a valley in the way to the coast and it has wifi...we cannot upload pics through the phone, but believe me there will be a bunch once we get to a real computer. Much love and Peacepass!
I would take a sec to thank Jens and Maria Arimond who keep helping with directions and hotels finds along our way. Lilo too!!!
Thanks tothe followers as well!!!

Munich-Peter
Been here in Munich for a couple of days and are prepared to leave tomorrow. We explored around the city with our friend Jens, watched some World Cup games, drank the local beer, and ate like kings. The weather for the next few days does not look promising as we cross the Alps. Snow is in the forcast for Sunday and light rain for the beginning of the trip tomorrow. Will update the blog next time we find a computer with internet access along the way (most likely Milan). Until next time...

Ready to go...not sure how much sleep I'll be able to get tonight. Thanks again to everyone who helped make this trip possibile. Posting a few pictures of a few of our sponsors for the trip (including ourselves). Can't wait to update everyone when we arrive in Europe...Until then

1 Day 'till departure - David
Hello all,
thanks for check our blog and thanks in advance for checking while we are in this crazy adventure. Thanks to Pete for getting the blog started! Im pretty stoked about this trip and vey anxy to get it started and waiting eagerly for that first night in the hammocks.
We will be posting as regularly as possible and plan to show as many pictures as we can.
Our travels will take us from Munchen, Germany (jun 19th) to Malaga, Spain (July 17th +). We will pass through Milan(Jun 24th), Monaco and Barcelona but do not have a set route. We know we are going south so all we need to know is to have the sun on our left in the mornings.
This trip could not be possible without Pete's and my determination and love for the adventure and the crazy, but there are people who have supported us a great deal in preparing this trip. Caleb with PeacePassers have been great help sponsoring the ride. It feels really good to ride for such a good cause. Also our Sponsor Bike Shop is Real Deal Bicycles in Jupiter, Florida. Thanks a great deal to Rudy for gearing our bikes and suplying all the needed travel gear.
